Oprah Winfrey /ˈoʊpɹə ˈwɪnfɹi/, ou simplement Oprah, née le 29 janvier 1954 à Kosciusko dans l'État du Mississippi, est une animatrice, productrice de télévision et de cinéma, actrice, critique littéraire, essayiste et directrice de la publication de magazines américaine.

Elle est surtout connue pour son talk show The Oprah Winfrey Show, produit par sa propre société Harpo Productions, basée à Chicago. Son émission a gagné de nombreux prix, et est devenue le programme le plus vu dans l'histoire de la télévision jusqu'à son dernier épisode, le 25 mai 2011. Ce qui lui vaut le surnom de la « Reine des médias ».

Oprah Winfrey mène également une carrière d'actrice qui a commencé en 1985 où elle joue dans le film La Couleur pourpre. Elle a été sélectionnée par deux fois pour l'obtention d'un oscar une fois en 1985 pour son rôle de Sofia au sein de La Couleur pourpre et en 2014, pour son rôle de Annie Lee Cooper au sein du film Selma.

Elle est classée comme la personnalité afro-américaine la plus riche du XX^e siècle et la plus philanthrope de tous les temps. Elle aurait gagné 315 millions de dollars sur la période 2009-2010.

Elle est généralement considérée comme ayant popularisé et révolutionné le genre du talk show incluant la participation du public, style lancé par Phil Donahue, cela malgré des critiques sur la culture de la confession publique qu'elle y a introduite.

Au milieu des années 1990, elle a réinventé son talk show pour se concentrer sur la littérature, le développement personnel, la spiritualité, et la méditation.

Tesh has won six Emmys and has four gold albums, two Grammy nominations, and an Associated Press award for investigative journalism. Tesh has sold over eight million records. His live concerts have raised more than $7 million for PBS. He has co-hosted the television program Entertainment Tonight. He has previously worked as a sports commentator and host for the Olympic Games, Wimbledon, the US Open, the Tour de France, Ironman Triathlon, and as a news anchor and reporter. In 2018, Tesh was inducted into the North Carolina Music Hall of Fame.

イーバートは1967年以来、シカゴ・サンタイムズで映画評を執筆しており、アメリカ内外の200以上の新聞に配信されていた。1975年にはこの連載に対し、映画評論家としてはじめてピューリッツァー賞の批評部門を受賞した。また23年間に渡りジーン・シスケル（1946年 - 1999年）と共に映画を批評するテレビ番組の司会を務め、シスケルの死後はリチャード・ローパーとコンビを組んで司会を続けていた。著書は、毎年発行している年鑑も含め15冊以上を数えている。1999年からはイリノイ州シャンペーンで毎年映画祭も主催していた。
