オアシスのソングライターを務め、代表曲である「ドント・ルック・バック・イン・アンガー」や「ワンダーウォール」などを作曲し、オアシスを世界的ロックバンドに成長させた。いくつかの楽曲では、リアムに代わってボーカルも担当している。2011年10月よりノエル・ギャラガーズ・ハイ・フライング・バーズの名義で本格的なソロ活動をスタートした。
